Ealing Comedy Festival is back for its 25th consecutive year with a stellar line-up of internationally renowned comedians and homegrown talent. Tickets are now on sale.
This includes star of The Last Leg Josh Widdicombe (pictured above). From working on Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer magazine, to selling out three UK comedy tours and bagging regular TV appearances on BBC One’s Mock The Week and Channel 4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Josh has come a long way in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down. Alongside running his own BBC Three sitcom called Josh, he recently hosted one-off comedy show Josh Widdicombe Will Make Your Life Better on BBC Radio 2, alongside presenter and comedian Harry Hill.
Joining Josh will be the undisputed champion of surrealist one-liners, Milton Jones. Fresh off the back of a colossal 109-date tour, which saw 48 additional dates added because of high demand, Milton is at the top of the game. He has made multiple series of his Silver Sony Award-winning radio show and has made recent appearances on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Live at the Apollo, and Dave’s One Night Stand.
Meanwhile, former Ealing resident and stand-up star Shappi Khorsandi will be making a long-awaited return to the festival, following the release of her critically acclaimed novel, Nina is Not OK, while award-winning US comedian Reginald D. Hunter will also be welcomed to the stage.
Other acts to join the line-up include Nish Kumar, Stephen K. Amos, Jo Caulfield, Paul Zerdin, Jake Lambert, Tom Stade and Joanne McNally, with many more listed below and others yet to be announced.
To celebrate the 25th year of the comedy festival, the gala evenings – 26th and 27th July – will feature comics who have performed throughout the festival’s rich history of showcasing the best local and international comics.
Tickets for the shows, which will take place on 19-20 and 25-27 July in Walpole Park, are on sale now. Keep up to date with all the latest news by following the festival on Twitter @Ealing_Summer and Facebook @ealingsummer
The festival is put on by the Event Umbrella on behalf of Ealing Council.
