This image of a girl dancing in Pitshanger Park with sprinklers going off behind her on a bowling green was voted by residents as their winner of our summer photo competition, Seasons of Ealing .
It was a clear winner in the end, but two excellent runners-up also scored plenty of votes.
The picture (above, and right in full) was taken by Vahe Saboonchian, of Ealing.
It secured more than a third (35.6%) of votes cast in our public poll on our EalingLondon Facebook page and will appear in the September edition of Around Ealing magazine.
It was one of nine photos shortlisted by our panel – you can view all nine in our gallery.
The second-placed picture was by Nick Henderson and was a photo of his dog Suki in Gunnersbury Park meadow. It picked up 23.9% of votes.
In third place was a photo by Ali Moosavi, of the Ealing Summer Festivals taking place in Walpole Park. It garnered 15.1% of votes.
The idea was for people to enter their own snaps taken in the borough of anything of a summertime flavour. And you got to choose the winner.
The poll closed last night (Wednesday, 9 August). We had so many images sent in – thank you to everyone who entered and the hundreds of people who voted. Apologies to those who encountered any difficulties with Facebook’s mobile version of the poll app.
More to come…?
