This patiently posed picture of a squirrel was voted as the winner of our fifth Seasons of Ealing photography competition, for autumn.
It was taken by Anthony Bennett in Walpole Park. He won with slightly more than 28% of the public vote held on a poll at our EalingLondon Facebook page, from a shortlist of nine photos.
It will be published in the December edition of Around Ealing magazine – look out for it.
The runners-up were by Atiya Tahseen (17.5% of the vote) and Clem Halpin (over 12% of the vote), both of which coincidentally featured different sections of the Grand Union Canal.
Congratulations to all three; and aso very well done to all those whose photos were shortlisted by our panel. You can still view all nine of them in our gallery.
The idea was for people to enter their own snaps taken in the borough recently of anything of an autumnal flavour. And, of course, you got to choose the winner.
The poll closed at midnight last night (Thursday, 8 November). We had so many images sent in – thank you to everyone who entered and also to the hundreds of people who voted.
