Warmer Homes has funding to improve heating and energy efficiency in homes

Need a warmer home but lower heating costs?

If you own your own home, or rent privately, and are on a low income, you might be able to get free improvements to your home’s heating, insulation and ventilation to help make it warmer – and, probably, cut your energy bills as well.

Ealing Council is pleased to announce that grant funding is available for free, first-time central heating, wall, floor, and loft insulation, smart heating controls, first-time double glazing, energy efficient doors, and much more through the Warmer Homes service.

Energy efficiency improvements could help to reduce fuel costs, improve health by removing the causes of damp and mould, and can even help with overheating in the summer.

Residents living in homes with E, F, or G efficiency (EPC) ratings and with a total household income below £30,000 per year could qualify for a grant to cover all installation costs. If you do not know your home’s EPC energy rating, you can check what it is via the national EPC web pages.

Those on benefits, disabled, or over the age of 65 may also be eligible for additional measures under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme, bringing even more efficiency to your property.

Landlords and housing associations with eligible tenants may also take advantage of the scheme with a grant of up to £5,000 to cover tow-thirds of the costs.

The Warmer Homes scheme is available for a limited time and on a first come, first served basis. To check your eligibility and book a free energy assessment:
