Copley shortlisted for planning awards

Broadway Living and Ealing Council development, Copley Hanwell W7, has been shortlisted for two awards at the Planning Awards 2021.

‘Partnership Working” and “Planning for Affordable Housing’ are the two categories where they are hoping to take home the accolade.

The Planning Awards reward excellence in professional planning work, as well as related activities such as placemaking, urban design, economic development, housing, regeneration, legal advice, environmental consulting and property development.

The ‘Partnership Working” award recognises teams that have demonstrated how drawing on individuals and teams from different organisations, backgrounds and disciplines has enabled improvement to the physical or environmental quality of a place or the economic or social well-being of a community.

The “Planning for Affordable Housing’ prize recognises projects that demonstrate how its professional planning work has helped to increase provision for below market cost housing that has improved or is likely to improve the physical or environmental quality of a place or the economic or social well-being of a community.

Copley is a part of the boroughs continuing regeneration work and part of the plans to deliver 2500 new genuinely affordable homes by 2022 and improve the lives of our residents.

This follows a partnership award shortlisting nod earlier in the year from the Inside Housing Awards 2021. Winners for this award will be announced at a ceremony in London in November.

The Planning Awards winners will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Thursday 9-10 June 2021.
