No appointment needed – say yes to the vaccine

Residents over the age of 30 can walk-in, without an appointment and get their first jab this Saturday.

The council is working closely with the local NHS and has arranged for Southall Dominion Centre to provide vaccines on Saturday, 29 May.

There is no need to book, you just need to walk in – please ensure you observe social distancing.

  • Date: Saturday, 29 May
  • Time: 9am-6pm
  • Venue: Dominion Centre, 112 The Green, Southall, Middlesex, UB2 4BQ.

The centre will be open from 9am-6pm and will be providing the Pfizer vaccine to anyone over the age of 30 who hasn’t yet had their first jab or for residents in one of the following categories:

  • At a high risk from COVID-19 (clinically extremely vulnerable)
  • Have a condition that puts you at higher risk (clinically vulnerable)
  • Have a learning disability
  • Are an eligible frontline health or social care worker
  • Get a Carer’s Allowance, get support following an assessment by your local authority or your GP record shows you are a carer.

Find out if you are eligible and book an appointment on the NHS website.

Councillor Josh Blacker, cabinet member for healthy lives said: “The vaccine is the best way to protect you, your loved and those most vulnerable from this virus that has had a huge effect on all of our lives this past year.”

“The walk-up centre this Saturday offers a great opportunity for many members of our community to get their vaccine, so please come along if you haven’t already and share this information with your family and friends.”

Next vaccine stop – Northolt

On Thursday, 3 June residents will be able to walk-in and get their vaccination on a bus which will be parked at the Northolt High School, Eastcote Lane, Northolt, UB5 4HP.

  • Date: Thursday, 3 June
  • Time: 10am-3pm
  • Venue: Northolt High School, Eastcote Lane, Northolt, UB5 4HP.

It would be helpful if attendees can bring identification or a NHS number but this is not a necessity.
