Ealing Council is working with local people to shape the future of transport projects across the borough.
Back in August, the draft Travel in Ealing Charter was launched to work together with residents on local transport projects.
Now, the council is running a short survey on our priorities for transport across the borough, where residents can have their say on improving transport and travel.
Peter Mason, leader of Ealing Council said: “We want to know what your priorities are for transport improvements in our amazing seven towns.
“Back in August we launched our draft Travel in Ealing Charter. The consultation on this is now closed and I’d like to say thank-you to everyone who got involved.
“This feedback is proving vital as we shape the final version of the Charter – which will act as a blueprint for the council to work alongside residents to deliver cleaner, sustainable active travel projects.
“Now, we are planning our major transport proposals for the next two years, and once again we want you to hear from you. We are running a short survey where you can tell us what is important to you – It could be anything from reducing congestion or improving public transport, to make it easier and safer to get around by walking or by cycling.
Councillor Deirdre Costigan, cabinet member for climate action said: “This survey is about gathering your views, which will help us form the guiding principles of what we will prioritise going forward. This could ideas like, completing the next phase of the Uxbridge Road cycle lane, improving facilities outside our upgraded Elizabeth line stations or developing community backed plans for the West Ealing liveable neighbourhood.
“A huge, £10million active travel programme is already underway, rolling out everything from new cycle routes and bike storage, to improved surfaces for roads and paths, to our brilliant School Streets programme, which makes it easier for children to walk, scoot and cycle to-and-from the school gate.
“We want to build on these achievements and deliver even more for our residents, but we know that our active travel schemes must be developed with you and not done to you.
Councillor Mason added: Our Council Plan sets out an ambitious vision and strategy for the borough for the next four years – and we ae committed to involving residents and others in decisions that affect them
“We are starting now by asking for your help with identifying what kind of improvements are most important and then by working with you to deliver positive change across every part of our borough.
