The borough is set to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla, an important and momentous moment in British history.
One of the ways that we are celebrating here in Ealing is by decorating our town centres with colourful bunting.
Bunting is going up around the borough with the first strings proudly placed by council’s leader Councillor Peter Mason on 20 April. A total of 12,000 metres of bunting is being displayed across Ealing towns in the next few days, supported by Enerveo and Murrill Construction Ltd.
Join the bustling programme of events
With an extra bank holiday on Monday, 8 May you are likely to have plans with family, friends and neighbours to celebrate the coronation. Have you seen the weekend of special events planned across Ealing between 6 and 8 May?
Due to huge demand all tickets for the event on 6 May at Walpole Park have now been taken. If you have not already obtained your ticket please do not turn up on the day as numbers are restricted to ensure people’s safety.
You can also head over to Acton Park and Northala Fields for evening events between 6pm and 10pm over food, drinks and fireworks. No need to book tickets for those events in advance, just turn up and enjoy the festivities.
Please note these evening events might not be suitable for dogs due to fireworks. Also, consider leaving your car at home to ease parking congestion.
Street parties
Over 190 residents took advantage of the £150 available to help towards the cost for each coronation street party. Need information and inspiration for your party? Check the official coronation website.
