We need your help to Get Southall Moving. Ealing Council, together with Let’s Go Southall, is working with the community to create streets that get people moving and that are less congested, safer, greener, and more pleasant for all road users.
To reduce traffic, cut congestion and clean up Southall’s air, the council wants to hear from you about how to make it easier for everyone to get moving – that’s walking, cycling, jogging, scooting, or even hopping, skipping and jumping.
Read more about the plans and share your views in a short survey by 25 June 2023.
We want you to tell the council what you think about some of our ideas, including traffic calming measures, faster bus routes, better pavements and new cycle lanes. Many of these ideas are about trying to reduce traffic congestion in Southall by helping residents feel able to swap short car journeys for walking or cycling.
Councillor Deirdre Costigan, the council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for climate change, said: “We know that traffic congestion, air pollution and road safety are major concerns for Southall residents. That’s why we are doing this consultation, to find out what local people think about how we can make our streets safer, cleaner and more pleasant for everyone. As an open, transparent and inclusive council, we want to hear from residents about what they think will work best.”
