Love Not Landfill is launching a free Preloved School Uniform shop which will help you save on the cost of school uniforms.
Having already saved an incredible 1,952 items from landfill, and with 1,634 pieces having been swapped, the group is now inviting residents to swap and find school uniforms.
The two-day event, taking place on 29 and 30 July, is in the Ealing Broadway Centre between 10am – 4pm. On Saturday you can drop-off school uniform and items no longer needed and then, on Sunday, come back and find all your pre-loved school items, and more – while contributing to saving the planet.
Day one, Saturday 29 July, Drop-Off (10am-4pm)
Drop off any pre-loved school uniforms, sports gear or school items, books and equipment at the drop-off point, outside Tesco Express at Ealing Broadway Centre. You can bring:
- Non-branded school uniforms
- Core uniform and sports items, such as shirts, skirts, shorts, trousers.
Please make sure all items are washed and in good condition, with no rips, holes, stains or missing components – although the odd missing button is fine.
Day two, Sunday 30 July, Pick-Up (10am–4pm)
Pick-up your free pre-loved school uniforms and items of clothing or sports equipment. The pre-loved school uniform shop will be located outside Tesco Express, just pop-in and find out what you need.
Clothes swap
Over the same weekend, Love Not Landfill will be running a clothes swap, to welcome the arrival of Summer Live, which features soul-boosting live singers and bands sharing sunshine vibes.
Freeagle
If you are looking for other ways to save money, save on your carbon footprint and benefit the environment, you can also consider joining Freeagle. This is an online space where people can share items that are in good condition and reusable with their local communities.
