Spring stunners

We are pleased to unveil the spring winner of our photography competition Seasons of Ealing. Again, thousands of you got involved to decide the favourite.

Seasons of Ealing returned in winter for the first time since it got halted in its tracks by the pandemic. And you will have probably seen the robin photo that won. Like then, the winning photographer has again received 4 tickets to Ealing Picturehouse cinema.

And the latest winners were…

After receiving lots of entries for our spring competition, our panel had the task of trimming them down into a shortlist of 10 photos. These were then put to a 2-week public vote to choose the winner, during May.

The winner was Natalie Warne with a picture taken in her garden in Ealing of 2 snails.

As well as the photo appearing here and on Around Ealing website, they will receive the top prize of 4 tickets to watch a film at the new Ealing Picturehouse cinema.

In second place was Oonagh Heron with her picture of a pair of red kites in Pitshanger Park.

In third place was Ali Moosavi-Jalal with a photo of a duckling shaking off water in Walpole Park.

Well done to everyone who was shortlisted and thank you so much to everyone who took part.

Get ready for summer’s contest…

The sun is (hopefully) shining, the days are longer, there are events aplenty. What better time to feel inspired? Get your cameras and phones out again and show off something you love in the borough, or a moment in time, that reflects the summer.

We want your snaps of the new season sent in. And the winners, again, will get a fantastic prize and be published in Around Ealing magazine and website.

Once again, the public will get to make the final choice, so even if you don’t enter, you can still get involved.

The summer 2024 Seasons of Ealing competition opens on Friday 14 June 2024 and will close on Sunday 28 July 2024. At that point, a shortlist will be selected and a 2-week public vote will decide the winner. Read how to enter (and the rules).
