Residents are being asked to vote for their top priority for change in their neighbourhood and how funding should be used in the first year of the borough’s Your Voice, Your Town approach.
Your Voice, Your Town aims to involve local people in the decisions that are made about where they live and take the lead in making that change happen.
Residents who attended Your Voice, Your Town events in their neighbourhoods earlier this year told Ealing Council what improvements they wanted to see locally, and shared ideas on how that could happen. The feedback from around 1000 people who attended the events and 500 who shared views via an online survey has shaped the priorities which people can vote for from each town.

A total of £480,000 of council funding will be available across the 7 town centres of Greenford, Hanwell, Northolt, Perivale, Southall, Ealing and Acton to pay for projects which support the priorities voted for by residents. Funding will vary according to the number of residents in each town.
Choices for each town vary but include:
- feeling safe
- green spaces
- more community facilities
- better housing
- clean and pleasant areas
To reach as many people as possible and make sure people in all parts of the borough’s diverse communities can be involved, the Your Voice, Your Town team will be travelling across the borough to talk to people at pop-up events asking them to vote for their priority. The team’s first visit this week was to talk to people visiting the NHS dental health bus at Alec Reed Academy, Northolt. They will also be travelling to high streets, places of worship, leisure centres, markets and coffee mornings in the run up to Christmas.
How to vote
People can vote online for their priority at the events with support from the Your Voice, Your Town team, or anytime up until Sunday 5 January 2025.
Councillor Blerina Hashani, the council’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “You know best what change you want to see where you live. This is your chance to vote and influence where local funding, support and skills go in your town to make those improvements. Your Voice, Your Town is about communities making those decisions and being involved every step of the way with support from the council.
“We know people have busy lives, so by going out and meeting people where they are we want to make it easier and feel more comfortable for everyone to have their say. People can also vote online and we’d love to hear from anyone who wants to get more involved.”
You can choose your town centre priority, or learn about other ways to get involved, by visiting the Do Something Good website.
A further series of events to discuss each town’s priorities and share ideas for projects will start in December.
