Ealing Council is once again offering food vouchers to children eligible for free school meals to cover the October half-term holiday period.
The vouchers are worth £15 per child and families who are eligible will receive an email or text with details of how to claim.
In our borough, there are approximately 13,000 children who are eligible for free school meals and these vouchers provide support to those who may otherwise struggle to feed their families over the school holiday period.
If you think you may have a child eligible for the meals, please check out the criteria information available on the council’s website and the details on how to apply.
Councillor Steve Donnelly, cabinet member for inclusive economy said: “I am very happy that we can again provide this support to families who may otherwise struggle to feed their children over the half-term.
“We know that the impact of COVID on our local jobs and economy has been severe and that many households have been affected. I would urge any family who is eligible to claim their voucher.”
Please note that this offer is to support pupils eligible for benefits-related free school meals. It does not cover pupils who receive meals through the universal infant free school meals provision.
