The Ealing Together website has expanded with the addition of a new online directory of local services designed to help people who are isolating at home during COVID-19.
Ealing Together is a coalition of community groups, charities, businesses and Ealing Council who have come together to respond to the needs of vulnerable and isolating residents. They can request urgent support by either calling 020 8825 7170 or by filling in the Ealing Together online form.
Once the request has been received, the Ealing Together team then brings the vulnerable resident together with a local group that can help; or assistance is provided from the council if required.
Ealing Together is focusing its referrals on urgent food deliveries and social contact. However, there are many organisations in the borough who are offering other services, such as dog walking or hot meal delivery. This is where the directory helps.
The directory is easy to use. Simply enter your postcode and choose the services that you need. You will then be able to make direct contact with the organisations listed and discuss the kind of help that you need.
Councillor Peter Mason, cabinet lead for Ealing Together, said: “Ealing Together is all about connecting to take action and help each other during COVID-19. Everyone can search for help using the directory, whether or not they have made a formal request through the Ealing Together online form or 020 8825 7170.
“All of the organisations listed on there are trusted partners in the Ealing Together coalition and we are proud to be working alongside them.”
