Ealing residents are invited to Ealing jobs fair on Wednesday, 16 March from 10am to 2pm. Organised in partnership with British Land, the jobs fair is taking place in 7 High Street, London W5 5DB.
Come and meet local employers who can offer you job vacancies from various sectors. Talk to them in-person and find out what work and training opportunities they have. Some of the employers you can expect to meet are British Land, Make It Ealing, The Forge@ParkRoyal, High Speed Two (HS2), Ealing Council, Brompton Bikes, Metropolitan Police, Jobcentre Plus, WSP, Project Centre, Shaw Trust, Action West London, Ealing and Hounslow Community Voluntary Service, Challenge-trg Group, West London College and Hawk Training.
The jobs fair is free to attend, and all Ealing residents are welcome any time between 10am and 2pm.

Employers’ expectations
10.30am – 11.15am
Employers expect their employees to be respectful, hardworking and good team players. Join this session by Learn Ealing to familiarise yourself with some of the expectations that employers have and how they can help prepare you for a new role or to advance at your current company.

Introduction to apprenticeships
11.30am – 12.15pm
Come and meet Ealing Council’s apprenticeship team and even some of our apprentices to learn how an apprenticeship can benefit you. Find out what employers are looking for, such as skills, knowledge and enthusiasm. Learn about the growth sectors and industries that you could become an apprentice in and how our apprenticeship team can help you get there.

Confidence for finding and keeping a job
12.30pm – 1.15pm
Starting a new job, especially after a long break, can be daunting. Come along to understand better how to:
- Use your unique skills and strengths
- Learn from your mistakes – and everyone makes them
- Avoid negative language, such as “I’m not good at …….”
- Leave your comfort zone
- Ask relevant questions and request help.
