What it’s like being on our courses
Watch one of our learners Amanda share her experience of being on a few Learn Ealing courses.
Amanda comments:
“I have completed maybe around eight or ten courses with Learn Ealing. Initially I started in lockdown with sewing with Sasha. Following on from that I did upcycle, recycle and I caught the bug for sewing and just continued with the online courses. I have made trousers, a shirt, jacket, wrap dress and jumpsuits.”
How Amanda benefited from the courses
She adds: “Sewing Sundays has given me a release from what has been some quite challenging times in my employment. It has really given me the head space to focus on myself and do something for myself.
“The courses are so brilliant and I have to say the biggest impact for me was on my mental health. It has been amazing.”
Future plans
Amanda says: “The courses also helped me to work out where I want to go in my career. I have taken a different direction in my teaching career. I decided to take a side step into working and teaching with more hands on, which will include sewing, which is exciting.”
