We are about to go on our Save Our Hospitals march through the borough and have a public rally. The event this Saturday (30 September) was arranged to show the strength of feeling against the planned decimation of vital health services.
At a time when Ealing’s population is growing and the pressures on the local NHS are already so acute, stripping away capacity is nonsensical.
A&E waiting times in north-west London are already among the worst in the country and these proposals threaten to make that worse.

Join the march and rally
We are urging as many people as possible to attend the rally. If you, your friends or your family have ever needed to call upon these services then now is the time to act to protect them so that they continue to be here when we need them.
If these plans go ahead they will leave thousands of people without being able to access essential services, including A&Es and intensive care units, in the borough; while those with some chronic conditions will have to travel further for regular treatment.
To strip out all of the vital services at Ealing Hospital, reduce the number of beds by 80% and still call it a ‘local’ hospital is pure spin and we are not falling for it.
Report vindicates our concerns
Local people tell me they are really worried about these plans. We want to give residents the opportunity to come together and show government their outrage at these plans.
