You can be an apprentice too

Apprenticeships are an increasingly popular pathway into work – giving you the chance to earn while you learn. There is a local network that can help you become an apprentice, too.

As we have reported, the Ealing Apprenticeship Network’s once again exceeded its annual target of helping local businesses create apprentice placements.

The ‘100 in 100’ campaign ran for 100 days from September to December and, last year, 106 places were pledged. The network, which is managed by Ealing Council, has since been working with the businesses that have come forward to turn the pledges into new apprenticeship jobs for residents.

The pledges from businesses included opportunities across a range of companies and organisations including schools, nurseries, housing developers and restaurants. Full list can be viewed here.

Very high success rate

The annual 100 in 100 campaign has placed more than 650 apprentices in local companies over recent years – with 85% of people who access the programme proving successful in achieving their goals and progressing into work.
