Walpole Park hosts the Big Jubilee Lunch

Head over to Walpole Park in Ealing on Sunday, 5 June for a family-friendly afternoon of free music and entertainment. The Big Jubilee Lunch will take place from 12noon until 5pm as part of the council’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Residents are invited to bring a picnic or grab some snacks from one of the local businesses and settle down with family and friends to enjoy some spectacular entertainment from steel drums, Indian melodies, beatboxing and harmonizing voices to high energy dance performances.  

Council Leader Peter Mason said: “It’s fantastic that we are able to bring the Big Lunch back to Walpole Park this year to celebrate Her Majesty, the Queen, as she becomes the first British Monarch to mark 70 years of service.

“To mark the occasion, we have a wonderful line-up of artists that reflect the range of diversity and culture that we are privileged to have in our borough.” 

The full line-up of performances include:

Councillor Jasbir Anand, cabinet member for thriving communities, said: “Bunting is going up around the borough, and preparations are underway to welcome you to Walpole Park. Bring your picnic and come along next Sunday and enjoy some of the amazing talent we have in Ealing, as we come together to celebrate the Queen’s historic Platinum Jubilee, with an array of activities and performers that are representative of the vibrancy and diversity of Ealing’s seven towns.”

The Big Jubilee Lunch is an accessible, family-friendly event that celebrates the diversity and talent of west London’s communities. Tickets are not required for the Big Jubilee Lunch. Simply turn up and find a spot to join in the activities.
