Championing Black stories

Ealing Council leader, Peter Mason said: “Black History Month is a time to reflect on the rich cultural heritage and important contributions of the Black community, both in Ealing and beyond.

This year’s theme reminds us of the importance of championing Black stories that are often misrepresented or forgotten, and ensure Black voices and experiences are acknowledged and heard.”

Councillor Blerina Hashani, the council’s cabinet member for thriving communities, said, “We are honoured to host a range of events that highlight the creativity, history, and resilience of the Black community and their lasting impact on our borough. We invite everyone to join us in celebrating and learning from these inspiring stories.”
