Win match day tickets to see Brentford play

Take part in our competition and you will have the chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to watch Brentford play a Championship football match.

After coming close to making it into the promotion play-off positions last season, the side will be hoping to mount another promotion challenge this year to reach the famed Premier League.

Ealing News Extra has teamed up with Brentford FC‘s Community Sports Trust to offer readers the chance to sample the match-day atmosphere and the excitement of a top professional game. There are five pairs of tickets to be won.

Brentford play in nearby Griffin Park stadium, just three miles down the road from central Ealing.

The club’s Community Sports Trust does a lot of work in partnership with Ealing Council, including with a young carers scheme and in providing PE support to local primary schools. More generally, it works to inspire young people, in particular, to Get Moving.

To enter, you need to answer the following question correctly and email it to aroundealing@ealing.gov.uk along with your name, postal address and phone number. Make sure you put Brentford FC ticket competition in the subject line or it may not be counted. The competition will close at 11.59pm on Friday, 31 August 2018. A random draw from the correct entries will then take place. Only the winners will be notified and they will be contacted in the week commencing Monday, 3 September.

Question: What is Brentford FC’s official nickname?

Once the winners have been picked at random from among the correct entries, they will be put in touch with Brentford FC to arrange to collect their prizes – this will include selecting a suitable date from the choice of games made available to them by the club. There will be no monetary alternative.
