This year, the underground world of The Vaults presents a new sensory experience called Sounds and Sorcery, inspired by Disney’s Fantasia. And we have five pairs of tickets to give away in a competition.
“Not really a concert, not a vaudeville or a revue, but a grand mixture of comedy, fantasy, ballet, drama, impressionism, colour, sound and epic fury,” said Walt Disney in 1941 of his Fantasia animated film.
What better way to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Mickey Mouse, the ‘star’ of Fantasia, than to go on an interactive journey through the film’s music?
Prepare yourself for an adventure into a multi-coloured, kaleidoscopic, artistic interpretation.
Collect your headphones at the door and step inside Sounds and Sorcery. It is time for a dance with a funky hippo that will leave you in a celestial spin, walk in a prehistoric wasteland to make your skin sizzle, seek out the fairies in a magical forest for an ethereal dream and, if you dare, sneak into the Sorcerer’s lair.
Explore the space freely as each new tunnel reveals another installation. Using binaural sound recordings, 3D projection and light installation, the worlds of Disney Fantasia are brought to life with musical sorcery.
The aim was to create a new, exhilarating and absorbing way of going to a concert, suitable for young and old; original fans and those who have never seen the film.
Competition
We have five pairs of tickets for Sounds and Sorcery to give away in a competition. To be in with a chance of winning one of the five pairs of tickets, all you have to do is correctly answer the following question and submit your answer by email to aroundealing@ealing.gov.ukby 23.59pm on 29 June 2018. Please make sure you put Fantasia in the subject line of your email and be sure to put a phone number and a postal address to allow for easy contact in case you win.

Once the deadline has expired, the five winners will be drawn randomly from the entries. Only the winners will be contacted and notified.
Prize package is a pair of tickets (valued up to £59.75 per person) to Sounds and Sorcery at The Vaults, Waterloo. Valid any one performance between 3 July and 30 September 2018 (evening and matinee performances). Subject to availability. The winner has three days to accept the prize and respond to the promoter via email, otherwise a new winner will be chosen at random. Times: You are given a time slot. This will be a time between 6.30pm and 8.30pm for evening shows, or 1.30pm and 3.30pm for a matinee show.

- Adult £31.75-£59.75, Children (Under12) £23.50-£49.50, Family tickets, for two adults and two children, £100.50-£197.50 (Prices may vary depending on time slot, check the website for more details).
- Concessions available for over 60s, students, the unemployed and Blue Badge holders (non-preview performances). All prices include a booking fee.
- It is free for children aged three and under, although no headphones will be provided.
