Apply now for funding to support local people

Members of Ealing’s voluntary and community sector (VCS) are being invited to bid for a share of a £2.4 million annual funding pot to support local services.

The money will be prioritised for groups supporting local people in areas such as mental health, domestic abuse and for those caring for others. The programme is funded jointly by Ealing Council and the NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (Ealing).

Applications must be submitted by 5pm on Monday, 17 April.

Councillor Peter Mason, Leader of Ealing Council said: “Ealing’s VCS plays a vital role in supporting community cohesion throughout the borough. Be it domestic abuse services, volunteering, support for carers or young people with disabilities, they all play a part in making our borough a better place for some our most vulnerable or disadvantaged residents.”

The funding is in place to support VCS services operating between 1 October 2023 and 30 September 2027.

Full details of what kinds of services and eligible and how to apply can be found on the community grants page of the council’s website.

If you have a query about the application form, the process or grant criteria, please email vcsfunding@ealing.gov.uk.

Support with developing applications

Ealing & Hounslow Community & Voluntary Service (EHCVS) will be providing workshops and one-to-one sessions during the 12-week application window for organisations needing support in making an application.

The workshops are due to be held on Thursday 16 and 30 March 2023.

Details of the upcoming training sessions are listed in the EHCVS spring training brochure.

EHCVS can also offer advice on how to write a good funding proposal and how to raise funds, taking into account needs and impact which can help applicants design a project. They can also provide one-on-one advice on monitoring, evaluation, policies, and governance.
