Ealing Council has the perfect gift for animal lovers this Christmas with stockings full of animal encounters, magical Christmas crafts and animal themed activities at Hanwell Zoo, W7.
Hanwell Zoo is getting you ready for smiles on Christmas day, with a huge 25% off the Meet the Meerkat experience. The encounter includes meeting the zoo’s five mischievous meerkats, feeding them and learning all about their habitat and natural history. The experience costs £45 for two people, normally £60 and is suitable for children aged five and over. The offer is available until 24 December 2017 from the zoo’s gift shop of online via the zoo’s Facebook page.
The zoo has also been transformed into a magical Winter Slumberland experience for the next month to help young visitors get into the festive spirit.
Nestled within thousands of twinkling lights, the Air Dome will give young visitors the chance to make decorative sparkly leaves to decorate the zoo’s Christmas tree, while learning about how animals adapt to the winter. There is plenty to learn about which animals choose to hibernate and which will migrate for the colder months to warmer climates.
Even the gift shop has had a Christmas make over, with lots of great stocking fillers and the exclusive Hanwell Zoo baubles. All the money raised from the sale of the baubles will go towards the zoo’s community and conservation projects.
