Council Chamber in Ealing Town Hall

Join the mayor for Open House

Ealing Town Hall will be opening its doors to residents on Saturday, 22 September as part of Open House 2018.

Tours of up to 10 people will be running every half hour from 11am with the last at 4pm. There is no need to book, just turn up at the reception in the Town Hall.

Three past mayors will be tour guides: Ian Potts, Phil Portwood and Michael Elliott. They will be welcoming visitors to the Mayor’s Parlour, the Nelson Room and the Council Chamber.

Both the Council Chamber and Nelson Room are open to residents throughout the year but the Mayor’s Parlour is visited by invitation only, so this is the only opportunity this year for anyone to visit.

Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Tejinder Dhami, said: “I am privileged to work in such grand surroundings on a daily basis and feel sure those visiting this coming Saturday will find the experience fascinating.”

Open House London is an annual event which takes place in September each year. It is the world’s largest architecture festival, giving free public access to 800+ buildings, walks, talks and tours over one weekend.

Other Open House London events in Ealing this weekend include:

  • Ealing Common Walk – Saturday 22 September
  • A Ruskinian Walk Through Shared Heritage – Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September
  • Fenton House – Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September
  • Ealing Scandi-Noir – Sunday 23 September
  • Ealing Abbey Church of St Benedict – Sunday 23 September
