Looking in more detail at the residents’ survey

We recently published the findings from Ealing Council’s independent 2022 residents’ survey, which showed your views about the local area, how satisfied you are with council services and how well you think the council is serving you overall.

The residents’ survey, carried out by an independent market research company, interviewed 1,250 people across all of the borough’s 7 towns, and those selected represented the diversity of the population of the borough.

This survey is one of the methods the council is using to listen to the views of residents and its findings were among the best seen in any survey of residents carried out on behalf of the council in the recent past.

For example, 84% of respondents to the survey said they were satisfied with their local area, which was much higher than the London average; and 72% said they were satisfied with the way the council runs things (again much higher than in other polls).

The findings also showed some of the things you are less happy about and where you want to see improvements made. The results will help to inform council plans and policy.

You can find out more about how the survey was carried out and how all of the things you said will be used.

And the survey results have been published in full, so you can see for yourself what people said.

Below, you can watch short videos highlighting key findings about themes covered in the survey (which included: Your local area; household concerns and wellbeing; your local environment; and council services).

Have a look and see what you think.
