Do you know a school staff hero?

Do you know someone that works in one of the borough’s schools that is a bit of a hero? Ealing Council thinks its schools are made special by the people who work there; and they deserve some well-earned recognition. That’s why, later this year, we will be running a campaign to celebrate the incredible people who work in our schools – but we need your help.

The borough’s schools have been recognised as some of the best in the country. We know that that is due to the hard work of our headteachers, teachers, school support staff, the caretakers, business managers, reception staff, school crossing patrols; each and every person who works tirelessly to support our children and young people.

Tell us who your Ealing school hero is?

We want to celebrate the unsung heroes in our schools – do you know someone in your local school who deserves some recognition? Is there a special teacher, TA or support staff who have really made a difference in your child’s life? Do you know someone who works hard behind the scenes to make sure that school life is great? Has a headteacher or deputy made a big impact? Who goes above and beyond in your primary or secondary school?

We don’t just want to hear about the big achievements but also the small things that make a big difference – does this person just brighten your day? Have they supported you as a parent through a challenging time or encouraged your child or young person when they are struggling or doubting themselves?

We want to hear from you – let us know who your Ealing school hero is by emailing westernc@ealing.gov.uk tell us why you think they deserve to be recognised, and how they make a difference. The school staff you suggest could be included in a special issue of Around Ealing magazine and part of a campaign celebrating schools across the borough later this year.
