Self-defence and personal safety course

Try something new: Free self-defence course

A local training academy is offering free self-defence and personal safety courses for women and girls.

The course will run over six weeks from Saturday, 25 January and will teach you and train you with the latest self-protection techniques and tactics as well as the right mindset designed to keep you safe.

Bethany-Anne, an Ealing resident who took part in the course last year, said: “The techniques were very easy to learn, I feel very empowered and strong, inspired and ready.

“Every girl and women should take this course, you will gain independence, grow in strength and be able to help others.”

About the instructor

Sev Necati is the women’s self-defence instructor for the Self-Protection Association (SPA). Her work is supported by organisations such as the Metropolitan Police and Victims Support.

Sev has run the course on six previous occasions. She said: “I’m delighted to be running another series of free female self-defence and personal safety courses in Ealing.

“This is a great opportunity for females who want to learn self-defence techniques and increase their confidence. At the end of the course participants will feel empowered and improve their overall fitness levels.”
