Do you use Uxbridge Road? Help to improve it

Ealing Council and charity Sustrans have teamed-up to produce a survey on Uxbridge Road and are asking residents to have their say on how the safety and overall experience of using it could be improved.

The Uxbridge Road pedestrian survey takes about five minutes to complete, and will gives you the chance to highlight any issues and suggest where improvements could be made.

Results of the survey will help to identify priorities for improving the entire length of the road, from Acton in the east of the borough, to Southall in the west. It also seeks to improve the experience and safety for all those using the pavements and crossings, including pedestrians, those using mobility scooters, people in wheelchairs and people with pushchairs.

Last year, a cyclist was tragically killed on the Uxbridge Road in an incident involving a lorry in West Ealing.

Council leader Julian Bell said: “We regard the safety of all road users with the utmost importance and I cannot stress enough the importance of this survey. I encourage everyone that uses the route regularly to complete the survey so we can identify all the key concerns and improve the overall experience for all road users.”

The pedestrian survey can be completed online up until Monday, 12 November 2018. The results are expected to be available in spring 2019 following analysis.

You can share your views on how Uxbridge Road can be improved via the dedicated Uxbridge Road survey page.
