picture - champion of champions 2019

Four winners, but which one is picture perfect?

Thanks to the many talented residents and budding photographers in our borough we have been sent stacks of superb pictures over the course of the past year. And now we want to crown one picture as the overall winner – a champion of champions.

Our Love Your Place and Seasons of Ealing photography contests have had various winners over the last couple of years. And the last four contests have seen images brilliantly capturing Ealing at its best in all four seasons. Now the time has come to select an overall winner from these past four.

The shortlist is ready to view – and then your votes will decide the overall champion of 2019. It is just for fun, but we will announce the winner on this website before Christmas.

You can view the four shortlisted pictures at the top of this page (in a carousel) and also in our gallery. Or you can just go straight to our public poll on Twitter where the images can also be seen – and that is where you vote, too.

The shortlisted photos are:
• Lammas Park runners, by Roger Green (summer 2019 winner)
• Northala Fields, by Malgorzata Sikora (spring 2019 winner)
• Misty morning in Stockdove Way, by Lynn Wilson (winter 2018 winner)
• Squirrel in Walpole Park, by Anthony Bennett (autumn 2018 winner).

Time to vote

The Love Your Place 2019 photography competition poll on the @EalingNewsExtra Twitter account will last seven days and will have closed by Friday, 20 December 2019. The results will then be announced on this website as soon as possible.

As we have said, you choose the winner and it is easy to vote for your favourite picture from the four past winners, all of which were taken and sent in by readers of Around Ealing and EalingNewsExtra.co.uk

Each captures a moment that made the entrants love where they live. That was the aim of the original competitions.
