Picture 9 Hanwell Community Centre in snow by Gavin Glean

Who should win? Vote now for your favourite winter photo

You can pick your favourite winter photo and, by voting, help decide the winner of our sixth Seasons of Ealing photography competition. Entries closed Wednesday night (2 January). We have picked a shortlist of six pictures sent in to us by readers – and we are running a public poll for residents to select a deserving winner.

You have a week to vote (poll closes 11.59pm on Thursday, 10 January 2019).

The picture above was one of those shortlisted in last year’s winter competition 2017/18, and was taken by Gavin Glean of Hanwell Community Centre in the snow.

People entered their own snaps taken in the borough during the winter months (within the last year). Thank you to everyone who entered.

After the deadline for entries, a judging panel had the job of choosing a shortlist. These shortlisted photos are being showcased in a gallery for you to take a close look at. Click here to see which one you like best. You can expand the images and flip through the line-up.

The nine shortlisted photos you can see in the gallery are:

  1. Gordon May, misty morning on towpath along Grand Union Canal
  2. Howard Somerville, Hanwell Flight, Lock No. 93 on the Grand Union Canal in Hanwell
  3. Lynn Wilson, Stockdove Way in Perivale misty morning
  4. Natalie Burns, friendly robin in Walpole Park
  5. Neil Davies, steps outside St Mary’s Church next to Brent Valley Golf Course
  6. Tammy Nguyen, Christmas wreath in shop.

Now vote for your favourite

We want you to pick your favourite and then go and vote in our public poll on the Ealing London Facebook page.

The poll will close at 11.59pm on Thursday (10 January 2019) and the winner will be declared on this website the next day – so make sure you come back to find out who won. The winning photo will also be included in the February edition of Around Ealing magazine.
