Group of women runners celebrating after finishing the Ealing Half Marathon

Win a place in award-winning race

The award-winning Ealing Half Marathon is returning once again to the town’s streets and parks in September – and we have a race place and hoodie to give away.

Up to 4,000 runners are expected, along with thousands of spectators, on Sunday, 29 September 2024.

The race starts outside Walpole Park at 9am. The 13.1-mile course will then cover parts of the Montpelier, Pitshanger and central areas of Ealing before reaching Hanwell and then returning to Ealing and Walpole Park via Uxbridge Road.

Enter, or volunteer

If you want to guarantee your place in this year’s Ealing Half Marathon, entries were still being accepted when we published this article.

However, you do not have to be a runner to be involved in this great event, because hundreds of volunteers are needed for the #EalingFeeling weekend. They each take home a unique medal as a thank you and get a free place in the 2025 race.

If you would like to be one of the 700 volunteers and earn a free place in next year’s race, register on the Ealing Half website.

Competition: how to enter

To have a chance of being the lucky reader who wins both the race place for the Ealing Half Marathon and the Ealing Half Marathon hoodie, simply answer the following question correctly by the deadline given below.

At which Ealing park does the half marathon finish?

Email your answer titled as ‘EHM competition’ to aroundealing@ealing.gov.uk by the deadline of 11.59pm on Monday, 26 August 2024. You must live in the London borough of Ealing to enter. Please include your postal address in your email for your entry to be considered, and please also check the terms and conditions below. Your name might be used (as the named winner) in Around Ealing (website or magazine), social media, or by Ealing Half Marathon. We would love you to tell us how you get on at the race.

Competition: terms and conditions

After the deadline has passed, the winner will be digitally selected at random, before being contacted. Only the winner will be notified. If the winner does not respond within 2 weeks, or a similar term deemed reasonable/appropriate to the competition prize, a new winner might be drawn at random instead and awarded the prize.

Your contact details will be used for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting the winner to notify them of the prize. And, if you are the winner, we may also need to pass them on to the organisation/company/individual that is due to provide you with the prize in order for you to claim it.

The entry deadline and the random selection of the winner is final and binding in all respects on all entrants. No correspondence will be entered into.

Entries that do not comply in full with these entry terms and conditions may be disqualified. If the winning entry is disqualified for any reason, the council reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant.

There is no cash alternative to the prize. The council does not accept any liability on behalf of any third party supplying the prize. Some terms and conditions of the third party supplier may also apply to the prize.

Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by entering this competition.
